The Squad holds time trials every two months and Club Championships twice a year which are keenly contested and thoroughly enjoyed by members!
The Squad holds ASA Swim 21 accreditation at Teaching level which is the ASA's quality standard for affiliated swimming clubs and ensures satisfactory standards in terms of child welfare, health & safety and coaching.
Squad members compete successfully in events throughout the Region including County and Regional Championships and feature in the ASA National Rankings. There is a great team spirit at competitions with members crowding around the ends of the lanes shouting for their friends.
New members quickly forge friendships and the Squad can become a major part of swimmers social lives, no bad thing considering the health and fitness benefits of swimming.
Training fees range from £20 per month to £40 per month depending on the training group. Modest annual fees are also payable for Squad and Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) membership.
To qualify for membership, swimmers will normally have completed Level 8 of the Tadcaster Pool swimming lesson programme or the ASA Gold Challenge Award or equivalent.
