About Us > SupportThe Pools have recently re-opened after suffering a catastrophic failure of the pool tiling system. With the help of the local community and business donations, Tadcaster Town Council and Selby District Council Grants and a Sport England Lottery Grant, the Trust raised over £130,000 to fund the repair.  Facility Manager with Jim Walsh of the Commer Group, who kindly supported the Appeal  'Davey Jones' aka Terry Welsh raised money by having his head shaved!  The Pampered Chef evening held at the Pool rasied over £250  Three Peaks Challenge - September 8th 2007 Everybody completed the gruelling 25miles and all Three Peaks in less then 12 hours  Churches together held a BBQ in the swimming pool car park and raised £820!  Karl Wainwright presents a cheque for £1,000 from Tadweld  Facility Manager, Glen Johnson receives a cheque from Coors Brewery, Tadcaster  The York and Goole Aiki Club donated the proceeds from their Autumn Martial Arts Seminar  Chris Jowsey from Scottish & Newcastle John Smith's presents the Trust with £5,000  Caroline and Jo Completed the 140 mile coast to coast cycle ride  Tadcaster Harriers donated £500  The Town Mayor presents the pool Manger with £5,000 |
